MASON ELEPHANT PARK

Since its opening in 1997, one of the primary goals of Mason Elephant Park was to provide a home for rescued Sumatran elephants. Many of these elephants had been displaced due to habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, or mistreatment in captivity. A renowned sanctuary for elephants located in Taro area, Mason Elephant Park focuses not only on providing a safe haven for elephants but also on conservation efforts and public education. As one of the largest elephant parks in Bali, visitors to the park can learn about the plight of Asian elephants and how to protect them, as well as participating in educational interactions with the elephants, such as feeding and bathing them. There are also opportunities for elephant rides, where guests can journey through the lush tropical landscape atop these gentle giants.
